London College of Fashion launch Centre for Sustainable Fashion

The london college of fashion have announced the the creation of the Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF). The centre will act as a one-stop shop for sustainability within the fashion sector across the entire supply chain.
London College of Fashion, already has an international reputation and a proven track record as a leading provider of research and consultancy and is therefore ideally placed to provide advice and support in this rapidly growing sector. In 2007 LCF launched its own ethical fashion campaign “Is Green the New Black” and is not only developing a MA postgraduate course in Sustainable Fashion but also working on embedding ethical fashion into all undergraduate courses.
Dr Frances Corner, Head of London College of Fashion commented, “London College of Fashion is committed to drive up the quality of advice, information and support surrounding issues of sustainability and climate change. Environmental and ethical concerns should be high on everyone’s agenda, as fundamental considerations for any forward thinking fashion organisation. We must fight for change to ensure not just better lives for people currently in the industry, but also to safeguard future generations. The creation of the CSF underlines our commitment to this sector.”
